The basic idea came to life while I was looking for ideas to promote the Eastern Townships local scene. I’ve always been fascinated by the musical scenes emerging from small places around the world for no apparent reason.

The obvious example that comes to my mind as I write these linges is of course Seattle in the early 90s. A culture was born there.

My biggest wish would be to create a solid cultural and musical bubble right here.

My HOTR web magazine is my modest contribution to this bubble.

Then I started to use the HOTR acronym (Hell On The Rock) with different extensions that suited my needs. HOTR magazine, HOTR production, HOTR booking, etc.

HOTR production became my band’s own label, HOTR the producer, and on and on.

Promoting the Eastern Townships musical scene in its every forms is the main mission of HOTR and its derivatives.
